Below is a quick study of what goes into making our "scary good" reproduction historic tin cans.


cansCutting the blanks for the cans out of sheet tin.


cansRolling the blank on the slip roll to make the can round.


canSoldering the side seam of the can using lead-free solder.


cansCut squares to make the top and bottom of the can.


cansCutting the squares into circles using our antique circle cutter.


cansBurring (turning a lip) the edge of the circle.


cansFitting the top and bottom to the can.

cansSoldering the "cap" on the top of the 'hole in cap' can. (Circa 1850's - 1920's)
